Islamabad marked the one-year anniversary of the Pahalgam incident with strong political statements from Pakistan’s leadership. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that India has still not presented any solid evidence to support its claims about the incident. He made these remarks during a press briefing in Islamabad.

He said the case raised serious questions from the start. According to him, the FIR was registered within minutes of the incident, which he described as unusual and pre planned. He claimed this shows that the narrative was prepared in advance. He also said that Pakistan rejects all baseless allegations and will continue to defend its position on international platforms.

In addition, he criticized what he called the use of media campaigns to build pressure. He stated that Indian media played a role in spreading a one sided story, while international observers and sections of Indian civil society also raised questions over the official version of events.

Pakistan Claims Evidence of External Involvement in Attacks

Moving further, the minister said Pakistan has evidence of foreign involvement in several incidents inside the country. He referred to cases including the Jaffar Express attack and the Khuzdar incident. He claimed these attacks involved external support and coordination.

He also mentioned groups such as BLA and TTP, which he said are being used to create instability in Pakistan. According to him, Pakistan views these groups as part of a wider pattern of regional interference.

At the same time, he brought up the case of Kulbhushan Yadav, stating that his arrest had already exposed foreign involvement in sabotage activities. He added that Kashmir remains an international dispute and cannot be treated as an internal matter by any single country.

Finally, he said Pakistan remains committed to fighting terrorism and protecting its sovereignty. He stressed that the country’s position is clear. Any aggression or provocation, he said, will be met with a strong and decisive response.
