New Transit Order 2026 enables structured land-based trade routes between Pakistan and Iran under regulated logistics framework.

April 27, 2026

Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce has issued a notification for the Transit Order 2026, introducing new measures aimed at improving trade facilitation with Iran.

Under the revised policy, Iran will be permitted to conduct transit trade with third countries through Pakistani territory. The framework will apply to goods originating from or transiting via third countries, allowing cargo to move through Pakistan toward designated destinations linked to Iran.

Officials have also outlined specific transport routes under the new system to ensure smoother logistics, regulated movement of goods, and improved coordination across transit corridors. The government says the updated mechanism is designed to streamline cross-border trade while maintaining proper regulatory oversight and efficiency in freight handling.
