Pakistan is set to host a two-day meeting of foreign ministers from Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt in Islamabad on March 29 and 30. The meeting will be chaired by Ishaq Dar and aims to discuss rising tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to officials, the talks will focus on reducing tensions and promoting dialogue. The four countries are expected to explore ways to support peace and stability in the region. A senior official said the meeting reflects a “genuine effort to de-escalate the situation through diplomacy.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan sees this as an important opportunity to play a constructive role. Hosting the talks in Islamabad highlights its efforts to bring regional partners together. Diplomatic sources say all sides agree that dialogue is the only way forward.

In addition, the ministers are expected to share their views on the broader regional situation. They will also discuss possible steps to avoid further escalation.

The participants are likely to remain in close contact after the meeting. Observers believe this initiative could help open the door for further diplomatic engagement in the coming weeks.
