Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held a telephone conversation. They discussed the changing situation in the Middle East and ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace in the region.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Qatari Prime Minister briefed Shehbaz Sharif on recent progress in peace talks and regional stability efforts. Both leaders agreed that continuous cooperation and constructive dialogue between all sides are essential for lasting peace.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Qatar’s important and consistent role in supporting peace efforts in the region. He also assured Pakistan’s full support for these initiatives.

Strengthening Pakistan-Qatar Strategic Partnership

During the call, the Prime Minister highlighted the long standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar. He said both countries have always supported each other in difficult times.

He also conveyed his best wishes for the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, through the Qatari Prime Minister. He added that the people of Pakistan look forward to the Emir’s upcoming visit, which is expected to open a new phase in economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue close consultation on regional challenges. Shehbaz Sharif further said that deepening ties with Qatar remains a key priority of Pakistan’s foreign policy and that Islamabad is determined to take bilateral cooperation to new heights.
