ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates share a longstanding brotherly relationship based on trust, mutual respect, and sustained cooperation, officials and observers say, as both countries continue to deepen ties across economic and strategic sectors.

The UAE has remained a key partner for Pakistan over the years, providing financial support, investment flows, and energy cooperation. More than 1.7 million Pakistanis are living and working in the UAE, forming a strong people-to-people bridge between the two countries.

Bilateral trade between Pakistan and the UAE stands at around $10 billion annually, with continued UAE investment in key Pakistani institutions and sectors, including equity participation in major development and industrial projects.

Officials highlight that the relationship goes beyond economic engagement, describing it as a historic and close partnership rooted in shared regional interests and long-standing goodwill. Both countries maintain high-level diplomatic engagement and regular coordination on regional and international issues.

At a time of growing regional uncertainty, observers say Pakistan–UAE relations are increasingly seen as an important pillar for regional stability and cooperation within the broader Muslim world.

Pakistani officials have expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continued support and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties further through expanded cooperation and dialogue.

They also reiterated that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the region are aimed at de-escalation and early resolution of conflicts, warning that further escalation could deepen instability and long-term regional divisions.

Analysts note that both countries continue to view their partnership as strategic and forward-looking, with emphasis on stability, economic development, and regional harmony.
