Lahore — At the Pakistan Ulema and Scholars Convention, religious leaders from all schools of thought expressed full confidence in state policies, announced their support for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and reiterated their commitment to playing a role in national unity and stability.

During the convention held in Lahore, the scholars stated that Pakistan’s military and political leadership has played a crucial role in preventing major conflicts in the Muslim world and promoting peace negotiations through prudent strategies, a role that has been recognized internationally.

Participants emphasized that Pakistan will continue to play an active role in promoting the unity of the Muslim Ummah, while also acknowledging the support of other Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt.

The convention condemned anti-national elements and those spreading false information on social media, asserting that the nation stands with its leadership and will promote peace and stability under the banner of “Paigham Pakistan.”

The assembly also strongly condemned Israel’s decision to close the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevent Palestinians from performing prayers, calling it a violation of religious freedom.

At the conclusion of the convention, organizers announced plans to hold additional gatherings across the country to spread the message of unity, peace, and stability.
