The people of Nushki have shown resilience and unity in the face of terrorism, as security operations conclude and daily life slowly returns to normal after a wave of coordinated attacks in parts of Balochistan. While security forces carried out clearance operations against militants, it was the endurance of ordinary citizens that stood out amid fear, destruction, and uncertainty.

Over the weekend, Nushki came under intense attack as armed militants targeted government buildings, including a police station, judicial complex, DC office, police lines and an FC camp.

Several buildings were set on fire, disrupting civic life and forcing markets to shut down. After three days, the town was cleared and bazaars reopened, though search operations continued in surrounding mountainous areas until security forces declared the operations complete.

Local residents bore the brunt of the violence. Shops were damaged, movement was restricted, and families remained confined to their homes amid heavy gunfire and explosions.

Despite these hardships, the people of Nushki refused to abandon their town. Community members cooperated with authorities, avoided panic, and stood firmly against attempts to spread fear and chaos.

Similar incidents were reported in parts of Awaran and Washuk, where government facilities were attacked. Although loss of civilian life was avoided in some areas, public infrastructure suffered damage, directly affecting common citizens who rely on these services for daily needs.

Police and security officials have paid tribute to personnel who embraced martyrdom during the operations, stressing that peace in Balochistan is not possible without public support.

Senior officers have repeatedly acknowledged that intelligence sharing and cooperation from local communities played a critical role in restoring order.

Messages displayed across Nushki, including banners rejecting violence and extremism, reflect a clear public stance. Residents have sent a strong signal that terrorism has no place in their society.

As calm returns, the people of Nushki continue to rebuild, carrying the hope that unity between citizens and the state will prevent such tragedies from recurring.
