The Federal Constitutional Court has declared the PTI founder’s ‘Release Force’ illegal and asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi to submit his response. The court made it clear that no group or individual can act outside the law. It also stressed that the authority of the state cannot be challenged through crowd pressure.

During the hearing, judges said the matter is serious and needs an immediate explanation from all concerned parties. “The law is equal for everyone, and no one can be allowed to cross legal limits,” a legal expert said while commenting on the decision.

Moreover, the court underlined that using large gatherings to influence institutions goes against the basic principles of justice. Another senior lawyer said, “Decisions must come from courts, not from pressure created on the streets.” This, he added, sends a strong signal that the system will function according to the constitution.

At the same time, reports suggest that CM Suhail Afridi has supported not only the ‘Release Force’ but also a campaign called the ‘Release Peace Movement.’ Analysts have described this as a planned effort to gather public support for a convicted individual. They believe such moves can create unrest and confusion.

In addition, the court showed concern over regular gatherings outside Adiala Jail. Officials believe these events are creating disorder rather than helping any legal process. “These activities are not peaceful. They are aimed at putting pressure on state institutions,” said a security analyst.

Furthermore, government sources have warned that no activity against the state will be tolerated. They said any attempt to challenge institutions under the cover of public campaigns will face strict action. “The state will respond firmly to any unlawful act,” an official stated.

Finally, experts believe this decision highlights the importance of following legal channels. They say the rule of law must remain the top priority. “Only courts have the authority to decide such matters,” an analyst concluded.
