According to law enforcement agencies, an ordinary traffic check was attempted to be politicized, with allegations being made that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was being targeted through propaganda.

Police officials stated that a vehicle was stopped due to a suspicious number plate and dark-tinted windows. The driver, who identified himself as Hamza, did not possess a driving license or vehicle documents. Authorities said that when legal proceedings began, the individual fled the scene. The police added that a search for the suspect is ongoing, and he is expected to be arrested or taken into custody soon.

Sources indicate that, based on preliminary information, this may be the same person who had previously been wanted by the police. However, official confirmation will be provided once the investigation is completed.

Meanwhile, on social media, various narratives emerged claiming that the action was politically motivated. According to the official stance, this was a routine legal procedure that was unnecessarily politicized.

In a related matter, it was reported that Canadian-Pakistani PhD scholar Salman was allegedly found involved in traffic violations and is currently outside the reach of the law. Relevant authorities emphasized that the law applies equally to everyone, and legal procedures will be followed if violations are confirmed.

Analysts noted that making baseless allegations against state institutions and politicizing routine legal actions can foster mistrust in society. Experts stressed that opinions should be formed only after verifying the facts, allowing the law to take its course.
