Hanna Urak Station House Officer Naveed Akhtar told that the bomb disposal squad was the primary target. Following the explosion, security forces immediately shifted the injured to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.

The martyred personnel included Subedar Shahzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, and Sepoy Zahid. The injured were identified as Lance Naik Zafar, Lines Naik Farooq, and Sepoy Khurram Saleem.

Security forces quickly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the attackers. The blast reflects a continuing wave of violence targeting law enforcement and security agencies, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the Quetta attack. In a statement, he paid tribute to the martyred FC soldiers and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to defeating terrorism.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also denounced the blast. He offered condolences and called the attack a cowardly conspiracy to destabilize the country. “Quetta blast kills FC personnel. The sacrifices of FC soldiers for peace in Balochistan will always be remembered,” he stated.
