Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah during his official visit to Saudi Arabia. The prime minister described the meeting as highly cordial and an honor, and praised the Kingdom’s display of restraint and composure under the Crown Prince’s prudent leadership amid current challenges. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the prime minister briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s recent efforts to restore peace in the region. He noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives had helped facilitate a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as well as historic peace talks held in Islamabad. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continuing efforts to bring both countries toward a sustainable peace agreement to ensure long-term regional stability.

Economic Stability and Defense Cooperation

Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s continued and strong support for Pakistan’s economic stability. He also highlighted the unique defense and security relationship between the two brotherly countries. At the conclusion of the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening and expanding the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi partnership on solid and broader foundations. The Saudi Crown Prince appreciated and supported Pakistan’s sincere efforts toward promoting peace in the region.
