Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations to the peoples of Pakistan and China on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, stating that the journey that began on 21 May 1951 has now evolved into an unshakable and all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. He said that this historic milestone will enable the younger generation to better understand the depth, scope, and future-oriented nature of Pakistan-China relations.

In his special message, the Prime Minister paid rich tribute to the visionary leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and praised China’s extraordinary achievements in economic development, technological innovation, poverty alleviation, and global connectivity.

Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that Pakistan remains firmly committed to the One China policy and will continue to support China on all matters related to its core interests. He also appreciated the commitment to building a closer Pakistan-China community with a shared future in the new era.

The Prime Minister described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, saying that it has played a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy security, and regional connectivity.

He expressed Pakistan’s full commitment to the high-quality development of the next phase of CPEC, with a special focus on industrial cooperation, agriculture, information technology, green development, and people-to-people exchanges. Concluding his message, he prayed for the continued strengthening of the everlasting friendship between the two countries, ending with the slogan: Long live Pakistan-China friendship.
