LAHORE: Sohail Tanvir has been appointed as the new bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators, replacing Wahab Riaz following his departure from the role.

The franchise confirmed the development on Sunday, stating that Sohail Tanvir will officially join the squad on March 31.

Team management described Tanvir’s inclusion as a valuable addition, highlighting that his international experience will provide young bowlers with an opportunity to learn, develop, and strengthen their skills ahead of the upcoming season.

Wahab Riaz’s exit comes after the cancellation of his NOC by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) due to his involvement with the women’s cricket setup. In a related move, team director Sarfaraz Ahmed was also relieved of his duties following a similar decision.

The restructuring marks a significant change in the Gladiators’ coaching setup as the franchise prepares for the next phase of its Pakistan Super League campaign.
