US President Donald Trump has announced what he calls a new and improved deal with Iran, saying it will be far better than the nuclear agreement reached during the Obama administration. Speaking through a social media statement, Trump said the earlier deal, known as the JCPOA, was a failure that put global security at risk. According to him, the agreement allowed Iran to move closer to developing nuclear weapons instead of stopping it.
To explain his position, Trump said that if he had not withdrawn from the old deal, Israel, the Middle East, and US military bases could have faced serious nuclear threats. He claimed the agreement weakened America’s standing and made the country look vulnerable on the world stage. In addition, Trump accused past US leaders of making poor decisions that benefited Iran while harming US interests.
Meanwhile, he also criticized sections of the American media. Trump said some outlets continued to support the old deal despite its risks. He described that support as misleading and damaging to public understanding. In his view, the previous agreement brought embarrassment to the United States rather than security.
Trump’s vision for a stronger and safer agreement
Looking ahead, Trump said the new deal under his leadership would be completely different. He claimed it would prevent Iran from ever obtaining nuclear weapons. Trump also repeated earlier claims that Iran received large sums of money under the previous deal, including 1.7 billion dollars in cash. He argued that this money was used freely by Iranian leaders and did not lead to peace or stability.
Furthermore, Trump said the new agreement would not only protect Israel and the Middle East but also ensure safety for Europe, the United States, and other parts of the world. He described it as a deal that would promote peace, security, and long term stability. According to him, this agreement would be something the global community could be proud of.
At the same time, these remarks come as talks between the United States and Iran are being discussed once again. However, tensions in the region remain high. Analysts believe Trump’s firm language could make future diplomacy more difficult. Still, Trump insists that strength, not compromise, is the only way to secure a safer world.
