Peshawar – 22 April 2025: An official TTP internal statement, delivered via an 11-minute audio message, has directed its supporters to cease criticizing other militant groups in Pakistan. The remarks came from Shoaib Bajauri, a member of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s central Shura, amid growing tensions on social media.

In the audio, Bajauri emphasized that TTP does not consider itself superior to any other group, nor does it expect other organizations to join its ranks. He referred to all groups as “brothers,” underlining the need for unity among militant factions in Pakistan.

The TTP internal statement followed a noticeable increase in online confrontations between TTP sympathizers and supporters of the newly formed alliance, Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan. Tensions flared after some social media users began targeting rival factions, raising concerns about internal discord within the broader militant landscape.

Bajauri firmly denied that TTP was behind any online campaigns attacking fellow groups. He urged members and followers to refrain from engaging in such divisive activities. Additionally, he clarified that the TTP maintains a neutral stance toward other factions and believes in mutual respect.

The message aims to de-escalate internal hostilities and prevent further deterioration in relationships between TTP and other armed groups operating in Pakistan. Analysts suggest that the public release of this message indicates a strategic move to consolidate support and avoid further fragmentation.

Moreover, the statement reflects internal efforts to manage TTP’s image and project it as a disciplined organization. It remains to be seen whether other factions will respond or align with this conciliatory tone.
