Tensions flared along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border after Afghan forces reportedly targeted a civilian area in Chaman late last night. According to local sources, mortar shells fired from across the border landed in the nearby village of Muhammad Hassan, spreading fear and panic among residents.
Casualties and Damage
Residents said one of the mortar shells struck the home of a local man, Dost Muhammad. As a result of the explosion, a young man identified as Rafiullah was killed on the spot, while his brother Naqeebullah sustained serious injuries. The blast also caused significant damage to part of the house.

Medical Response
Following the incident, local residents and rescue teams rushed the injured to a nearby health facility. Due to the severity of his condition, Naqeebullah was later referred to a hospital in Quetta for advanced treatment, where doctors are continuing efforts to save his life.
