Pakistan’s Mediation Role
The meeting comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, with Pakistan emerging as a trusted intermediary to help ease tensions between the United States and Iran. Diplomatic sources say the central agenda includes efforts to promote regional stability and advance Pakistan’s “good offices” role in facilitating dialogue and reducing conflict between Tehran and Washington.
Strategic Consultation Process
The discussions are also reviewing the evolving situation in the Middle East, the regional impact of the Gaza conflict, and security arrangements along the Pakistan-Iran border. Analysts view this visit by the Iranian Foreign Minister and his engagement with Pakistan’s top leadership as a key component of ongoing efforts to restore regional stability and prevent further escalation of conflict risks.
